"Basically, what he does, in this interview is he explains a glitch that they patched out from Dwarf Fortress. So what was happening is they recently added bartenders to bars in Dwarf Fortress, so what would happen is Dwarves would come into these bars, and the bartender would serve them a drink, and since like- dwaves are kinda these ill-mannered creatures, there's a chance that they would just throw their drink on the ground. And their drink would explode on the ground and put alcohol all over the floor. And also around this time they made an addition to the game, to where cats clean themselves like how cats clean themselves in real life. They clean themselves in the way where they're like- licking their paws and wiping their face. And so what was happening was that cats would come into the bar, after dwarves had thrown alcohol on the ground, and the cats would walk through the alcohol and get it on their paws. And then they'd clean themselves, and in the act of cleaning themselves, they'd get alcohol in their mouth? And the glitch was was that this wasn't really planned for, and so there was a little bit of an oversight, so that, whenever a cat was licking it's paw when it had alcohol on it, it would be an equivalent of having an entire drink of alcohol, and it would make the cats drunk incredibly fast, and they would start suffering from alcohol poisoning, and they start exhibiting, like, one of the seven different.. symptoms that they coded in for alchohol poisoning, and then there would also be a chance that they would Die."
